An action-packed weekend of coffee celebration with Danes Gourmet Coffee
True coffee indulgence will be found at the Danes Gourmet Coffee stand at the Rocks Aroma Festival on Sunday 29 July. Great specialty coffee, demos from the experts, and a book signing will be rounded out by some friendly barista competition. Buzzing with action, the Danes Gourmet Coffee stand will have something to please coffee lovers of all types.
Coffee competition - Home baristas looking to get fired up with a bit of friendly competition will have the chance to enter the first round of the Danes Home Barista Championship, which tests key coffee-making skills. Open to all, entrants will go in the running to pick up some great prizes including a Rocket Giotto, Mazzer Mini E and a Hottop Home coffee roaster. The top two baristas on the day will proceed to the 2012 HBC final on Saturday 27th October at Danes Gourmet Coffee Institute.
Stimulate the senses - Taste buds are bound to be tantalised with Danes Gourmet Coffee brewing all day. Aero Press, Wahana Estate, Tanzanian Burka and Doi Chaang brewed coffees will be available at the special price of just $2.
Expert demonstrations - Home and pro baristas alike will have the chance to learn from the best. Sasa Sestic, Australasian Grand Barista Champion 2011, will be offering up his expert brewing tips and tricks.
Book signing by ‘The Cafe Ninja’ - Those looking to turn their cafe-owning dreams into reality will want to grab a copy of The Complete Guide to Buying a Cafe. This exciting new book from industry expert Craig Reid will be available for sale on the day. Craig, known as The Cafe Ninja for his expertise as a cafe consultant, runs café courses with the Danes Gourmet Coffee Institute and will be on-hand to sign copies of the book.
The Aroma Festival will be held on Sunday, 29 July, from 10am-5pm.
